Lawyers: Not releasing Timtik and Ünsal is torture

İSTANBUL - Freedom for Defense Coordination stated that not releasing Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal despite the Forensic Medicine Institude (ATK) report is torture.
 
Freedom for Defense Coordination made a written statement regarding the death fasting lawters Ebru Timtik and Aytaç Ünsal since April 5 Lawyers Day. The statement, reminding of the ATK report that says Timtik and Ünsal are not in a state to be held in prison, lawyers condemned the 37th High Criminal Court for rejecting the appeal for their release.
 
'IT IS A POLITICAL DECISION'
 
The statement continues as follows: "The decision given by the İstanbul 37th High Criminal Court was made with political motives and in violation of all procedural rules. The decision of continuation of detention and them being referred to hospital is torture for Ebru's and Aytaç's family, friends and colleagues."
