NEWS CENTER - Trustees was appointed to Nusaybin and Yüksekova Municipalities following the arrests of the elected mayors.

 

HDP Nusaybin Municipality Co-Mayors Semire Nergiz and Ferhat Kut who were taken under custody on October 15 during house raids, was arrested by the court with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization' yesterday. Their arrests were based on their participation in the isolation campaigns and anonymous witness statements.

 

Following the arrest of the Co-mayors, Nusaybin District Governor Mehmet Balikcilar was appointed as trustee today.

 

 

Yüksekova Municipality Co-Mayors İrfan Sarı and Remziye Yaşar was also taken into custody during the home raids on October 15, and was arrested with the same accusation. 

 

District Governer Osman Doğramacı was appointed as a trustee to the Yüksekova Municipality.
