NEWS CENTER - Ahmet Karamus and Zeynep Murad were elected as co-chairs once again at the 23rd General Assembly of the KNK.
In the first session of the second day of the 23rd General Assembly of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), co-chairs and the executive council were elected. Although the term of office of the co-chairs is limited to two terms according to the bylaws, a proposal was presented to the Council by some delegates to allow the current co-chairs to serve one more term.
The proposal, which was put to the vote of the delegates by the Council, was unanimously accepted and it was decided that the co-chairs would continue to serve for one more term. Again, according to the bylaws, a proposal was made to increase the number of Executive Council members from 19 to 23, taking into account the increasing fields of activity of the KNK. This proposal was also unanimously accepted.
Some delegates from Kurdistan and Russia who could not attend the congress due to visa problems attended the session via video link.
After the voting on the bylaws, Ahmet Karamus and Zeynep Murad were once again elected as co-chairs of the KNK.
The session continued with the election of KNK Executive Council members.
