Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office attributed the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to a "criminal organisation" and made a second statement, attributing the detention first to the Urban Consensus and then to the KCK.
Internet Freedom monitoring platform Netblocks announced that access to many virtual media platforms in Turkey has been restricted following the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Speaking at the enthuasiastic Newroz in Qoser, DBP Co-chair Keskin Bayındır said, "The Kurdish people want to hear Mr Öcalan's voice. Kurdish people want to see Mr Öcalan within themselves."
Speaking at Silopiya Newroz, Ayşegül Ayaz from TJA stated that Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's call is a manifesto for a new life in the 21st century and called on women to embrace this process.

IHD members who sent money to their member Hatice Onaran, who was sentenced to prison for sending money to prisoners, stated that they will continue their solidarity and struggle.
In the Newroz celebration attended by thousands of people in Agirî, reaction was shown against the massacre of a family in Kobani. They also called on the governmen and said, "This process cannot be carried out unilaterally, take steps".
DEM Party Co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan said that they had applied to the Ministry of Justice to meet Abdullah Öcalan before Newroz. Bakırhan also said that "right to hope" must be implemented.
Posters of Abdullah Öcalan and Mazlum Doğan were unfurled during the enthusiastic Newroz celebration in Qoser.
Noting that the Syrian peoples see the themselves close to the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and that Syria is being taken back 105 years with "new constitutional declaration", Aldar Khalil said: "Syria cannot be governed form a single centre. Those in Damascus are in the minority."
